Vacuum forming is when a material is heated until it is pliable. It is then laid on to tooling which can be supplied by the client or created by ourselves. Once the material has been secured in place the excess air between the material and the tooling is drawn out by vacuum leaving the material fitted to the tooling.
Once the material has cooled it can be released from the tooling and manufactured into the end product including, spraying with colour, the addition of vinyl graphics and/or the addition of LEDs.
Vacuum forming is not restricted to just signage. It can be used for the moulding of replacement boat screens and protective machine guards for example.
All of this can be done inhouse by our experienced Production staff.
